Supervise and coordinate manufacturing inspection activities, assuring that the approved inspection standards, methods, and procedures are maintained and carried out in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration approved Production Approval Holder Quality System.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and positive customer service attitude without ever compromising quality.
Assist, supervise and direct manufacturing inspection personnel.
Delegate inspection functions, but responsible for the overall inspection activity.
Ensure that manufacturing uses current applicable FAA data, manufacturing instructions, drawings, and other pertinent data when performing manufacturing functions on articles being produced.
Ensure that final inspections are properly performed on all articles completed before released.
Be able to maintain compliance to the current AS9100 Standard.
Oversee the new production warranty program including evaluation, disposition and metrics in a proactive manner to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Ensure that customer requested Root Cause Corrective Action activities are performed.
Be able to effectively communicate independently with FAA inspector(s).
Assist the Director of Quality as needed to ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures.
Assume the responsibilities of the Director of Quality in his/her absence.
Education & Experience
10 years related aviation experience with four years in a supervisory or management role, BS degree preferred but not required.
Experience working within a 145 Repair Station.
Must have a working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
Must be eligible to obtain certification under FAA 14 CFR Part 65.
Knowledge of applicable inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of an article.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
