CNC Press Brake Operator

Manufacturer and distributor within the HVAC industry, is uniquely  positioned to innovate and provide specialized knowledge and solutions for virtually any project requirements, in any climate. Seeking experienced CNC Pre-Press Operator to operate and program CNC machine for parts.

Core Responsibilities:

Operate press brake machine.
Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
Use a CNC controller to input information into machine.
Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
Checks height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.
Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
Work with tight tolerances.
Produce parts for assembly operations.
Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
Perform spot inspections of parts.
Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
Complete and maintain paperwork.
Identify assembly parts.
Set up light gauge metal.
Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum & regular steel).
Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
Read drawings and blueprints.

Additional Qualifications:
Metal Brake press forming and basic fabrication background. Preferring exp with Amada controls.
Minimum 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly desired.
Basic knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set up is desired.
Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.
Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.

Work Hrs: Monday thru Friday; 630am to 3pm

Pay range: $15-18/hr
