MATERIAL CONTROL CLERK
Issues parts for repair production orders. Accurately records inventory cycle counts. Responsible for communications with Purchasing Department regarding items for procurement. Performs a variety of tasks related to inventory control.
Physical pull, packaging, posting in computer and delivery of parts and shop supplies required for repair labs and engineering requisitions.
Identifies item discrepancies, investigates, and brings to the attention of the Director of Supply Chain or Stock Room Coordinator.
Requisitions short materials from Purchasing.
Perform weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Cross-trained in all stock room functions.
Education & Experience
Strong basic math and computation skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Intermediate spreadsheet skills and basic MS Office skill
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Good time management and organization skills
Manufacturing background a plus
MRP experience is preferred
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with inventory transactions, bill of materials, cycle counts, and purchase orders is helpful
High School Diploma or GED
Constant computer and phone use. Handling, counting, and packaging high quantity of parts weighing just a few ounces to up to 30 lbs. Moving parts from one area of the building to another. Will require loading, unloading, stacking, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and walking. Also repeated climbing up and down of stairs during the day. Conveyor belt is available to move heavy parts to second level. Stock room second floor is open metal grate. Temperature controlled environment.
